Bowel Cancer Awareness
Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK, but it is highly treatable when detected early. Knowing the symptoms and taking part in screening can save lives. If you notice persistent changes in your bowel habits, blood in your stool, unexplained weight loss, or ongoing abdominal pain, please contact the practice. Don’t ignore the signs—early action makes all the difference.

If you’re aged 50–74, you’ll automatically receive an NHS bowel cancer screening kit every two years. It’s quick, simple, and can be done at home. Even if you feel well, screening can detect problems early—before symptoms appear. If you’ve received your kit, please complete and return it.
